Recipes - Oaty Pear and Blackberry Crumble

  • 500g pears
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 125g ZyloSweet
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • 200g blackberries – fresh or frozen
  • 100g Omega Excellence Organic Coconut Butter
  • 200g wholemeal (or gluten-free) flour
  • 150g porridge oats


  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/Gas Mark 6.
  2. Peel, quarter, core and slice the pears, then put into an ovenproof dish and squeeze over the lemon juice.
  3. Add 25g of the ZyloSweet and the cinnamon, then gently stir in the blackberries.
  4. Mix together the coconut butter, the remaining ZyloSweet and the flour in a food processor, until it reaches a breadcrumb consistency. Add the oats, then sprinkle on top of the fruit.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden.
